Bird, 2010
Wool
10 x 10 x 10 cm
I think it's safe to say that a lot of my work generally has a childlike edge to it. I simply enjoy a juvenile visual language that invites to dramatic colours, shapes, exaggeration and play - and its supposed clash with darker subject matter. In many cases I also still find the techniques I was taught in kindergarden very useful!
In keeping with the times, here's a selection of recent utilitarian works intended especially for tiny but eager hands.
