New orientation towards CAD/BIM

Visualisation of BIM-model, 2014
Digital image

In September I started studying construction planning, a building engineering programme that focuses on Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modelling/Management (BIM), at YRGO in Gothenburg. It's great for someone who, like myself, is looking for a more pragmatic way of combining the love for aesthetics, building preservation and urban planning. I get to implement and draw on the skills and experiences made in art school, while enjoying the challenges of taking things into a new context. My graduation is scheduled for June 2016.

Stickers

Earlier this year I made a few stickers using images from my Hero Book (2005) and posted around town. "Don't forget to recycle!"

Animals - Opening event this Sunday 13th Jan 2013

From this Saturday onwards my old lobster tails will be swinging from the ceiling of Café Nina, just next door to the Maritime Museum & Aquarium of Goteborg.  I'm sharing the space with my artist friend Thomas Hägg, who exhibits ink drawings of surreal animals.

We will have an opening event this Sunday January 13th at 15h00. Join us for a chat over a cup of tea!

Evening lecture on the sociopolitical history of soccer, Thursday 28 April

This week is the last chance to see the soccer exhibition that I'm a part of at Galleri J in Falkenberg. What better way to indulge than with an evening lecture tomorrow night held by Torbjörn Andersson, lecturer at the Institution of Sportscience at Malmö University.

The lecture will explore subjects such as early rivalry between soccer clubs of the middle and working class, why there used to be so much drinking involved in swedish soccer, the development of chants, hooliganism and much more.

The lecture is held at the gallery tomorrow evening, Thursday 28 April 19h00, and is free of charge.
