Week two: Reality check/HWC (in collaboration with 48 nations and one goal)

Images from the Homeless World Cup in Cape Town 24 -30 September 2006, where I was a volunteer and guide for the Swedish team. The second of four interventions forming part of the ‘one work per week’ series.

Bolt bird

Bolted onto one of the canvases distributed and used in the show ‘Untitled’ at What if the World Gallery in Cape Town 2006. One of few submissions that survived a paint-attack on the gallery’s storeroom immediately after the exhibition.

The Chancery

Documentation of site-specific work 2006-2007

The Chancery functioned as an embassy for Swedish artist Lars Vilk’s micro-nation Ladonia, and used role-play to explore notions of restriction and access.
